Commission Portraits of People

  • Whether the sitter is a young child, older adult, or someone in between, I am passionate about capturing the subject’s personalty in addition to their likeness. I can do traditional portraiture, or fandom portraits.

    There are two primary options for media; oil paint or watercolour with coloured pencil.

  • Select your reference images. The higher quality the images, the better. I will only work from photographs that you have taken, or that you have the rights to, or with written permission of the photographer, or that I have taken myself (if local). I can often work from multiple reference pictures as long as some are clear.

    Fill out the request form. Once I have your contact information I will reach out for additional details and pictures from you!

    Get your invoice. I will send an invoice with the payment, which can be split into a down payment and final, or paid in full up front. Before you know it, you will have a portrait that will last for generations.

  • I try to keep my work as accessible as possible, which is why I price my art as low as I can. There are several size options, depending on the type of painting you are looking for. These portraits are made with high quality, archival materials that are made to last more than a lifetime with proper care.

    These prices are for unframed portraits of a single sitter with a solid background. For additional subjects, different poses and more elaborate backgrounds we can negotiate additional costs.

    Fandom Portraits

    These portraits combine my passion for capturing people’s likeness with my love of all things “nerdy.” I will portray you like your favourite character, be it inspired by an established character (from a game, film, book, or show) or an original character (from DnD, or any other mode of creation). Using a realism style these paintings merge contemporary cosplay with the centuries old tradition of oil painted portraiture.

    Traditional Portraits

    Taking a traditional realism approach, these oil painting portraits capture the subject in a timeless way. I strive to portray both the likeness of the subject, as well as their individual characters.
